REVIEW #1 – We came in for breakfast this morning and was served by a very nice waitress:) We ordered the eggs meal and the breakfast tacos and both were served fast, fresh, and delicious! REVIEW #2 – Had the $9 egg breakfast. It was great. Not too much food, not greasy. Really enjoyed the local kelp hot sauce. It got busier there closer to 9am but still not uncomfortable. REVIEW #1 – Went here for breakfast. Their breakfast’s are pretty spot on. It was a little crowded on Sunday morning but we were still able to get a table in a reasonable time (we had a large party) and get food ordered. The food was delicious! REVIEW #1 – This is literally a cafe at the “back door” of a book shop. And it’s a hidden gem!
You can access it via the back of the building, or through the bookstore.
The staff are all so super friendly and nice (just like all the people we met in Sitka) and the cafe is cute and has a lovely cosy feel. Lots of indoor seating and there are a few outdoor tables/ chairs too.
The coffee was excellent- they definitely know all about their beans and how to make great espresso.
The cabinet is packed with so many delicious sweet treats, and freshly made doorstopper sandwiches too- so make sure you come with a big appetite!

It is a great place to take a break from exploring the town of Sitka or to read a few pages from a book you just bought at the adjoining bookstore Old Harbor Books. REVIEW #1 – We waited until the last day of our trip to go here for breakfast and it was worth the wait! The selections were unique and delicious. We ordered the salmon which if the day, the breakfast sandwich with bacon, and the breakfast burrito. Each one was better than the next! REVIEW #2 – Stopped hear for a quick bite while in Sitka on a cruise. Food was DELICIOUS, service was great and we even got to choose the music playing. Such an awesome little hole in the wall that must be tried while in Sitka! I never knew I need Russian Dumplings in my life, and I’m not sure how I will now live without them. REVIEW #3 – As a foodie, I wanted to experience these Russian/Alaskan dumplings. We bought an order of beef and one of potato (Alaskan style) and shared. Wow– a bit too much heat for me but otherwise wonderful! The slice of marbled rye/pumpernickel (with caraway) bread was delicious.
