REVIEW #1 – Excellent service, and the food is exactly what we hoped it would be. The portions are large! The rain deer omelet was delicious. The French toast is soft and full of flavor. If you are in the area, Kava’s is worth the stop for some tasty belly-filling breakfast! – J Show
REVIEW #2 – The food is great taste of Hawaii. Even the servers have that islander vibe. The menu is what you would expect of a islander menu, spam, Portuguese Sausage, Loco moco and more. I went for the Kava Breakfast Deluxe and it pretty much had it all. Definitely recommend going this way if you’re in town. – Jaymez Callaway (James2Games)
REVIEW #3 – This place is a fantastic breakfast joint. Everyone enjoyed their food- from the melt to the biscuits and gravy, all the way to the grits. Definitely get the Ono’s pancakes. You can’t go wrong with peanut butter chips, peanut butter whip and chocolate sauce drizzle over fluffy pancakes. Highly recommend, and the coffee is great quality for the price point. The service was super kind and great. The only downfall was they may have been slightly under staffed so we had to wait a bit to get our bill. Definitely try this place if you’ve got a little extra time on your hands. – Heather K

REVIEW #1 – Had an absolute fantastic meal at Sam’s City Diner! The service was great, super friendly staff, and our food was delicious. We came for breakfast and they had a great variety of bfast foods. The crabby benny is 10/10! The restaurant had a retro, old school classic diner vibe. I will definitely be coming back when in Anchorage again! – Julie
REVIEW #2 – Absolutely adorable classic diner, excellent service. Chrome is polished, vibe is 100%, food choices are amazing. We had Samies skillet (such tender meat and creamy burnaise, omg), the 2x2x2 (absolute classic and delicious), and the benedict florentine (eggs poached to perfection, yummy hollandaise, delicious). Didn’t indulge on this visit, but the momosas and beers looked great too. Can’t wait to go again next time I’m in Anchorage. If you’re looking for a great diner, do this one! Killer coffee too. – Beelzarah
REVIEW #3 – Great Diner for that diner feel we all desire from time to time. I got pancakes and asked for bananna with them. Instead of on top, they baked the banannas in the pancakes 🥞! It was delicious. Check this place out for some good breakfast food. My hubby really enjoyed their biscuits and gravy as well. – Candace Mosteller

REVIEW #1 – I’ve been here for years, and of course it’ll change over time, never the same as it used to. Food is as decent as ever for a quick homestyle breakfast in the morning, or you can be laid bad and enjoy the coffee for longer. Service is always welcoming and friendly. Surprised to get the old fun yellow cup after so long. Great place to enjoy with family and friends. – Paradox
REVIEW #2 – Village Inn is a classic style American restaurant. They serve breakfast all day. It’s nothing fancy, just your regular classic American comfort food. It’s great that they have an espresso machine now so you can have more than just drip coffee. I don’t really know what their dinners or lunches are like as I usually always go there for breakfast. And I’ve never been disappointed on any of the breakfast items I’ve ordered. It’s very clean inside and we were greeted by multiple staff. If you want comfort food and a quick bite to eat Village Inn shouldn’t disappoint. – Ty Mulkey
REVIEW #3 – Great food! Great Service! Great Prices! The bathrooms were clean. The menu selections were way better than expected & the food was hot & fresh. I’m a big black coffee fan, and theirs wasn’t the best. Not old, just way stronger than what I prefer. Easy enough though, next time I’ll know to order tea. We’ll definitely add Village Inn to our weekend breakfast rotation. – Sharolyn Wyeth

REVIEW #1 – Walking into the establishment, we were greeted with a very friendly welcome by a gentleman who showed us to our seat. The atmosphere was very comfortable and welcoming. I noticed how friendly and warm the staff were. It showed they have great management by the way each interacted. Food was great, too.
Thank you for your great customer service! – Dora Mea
REVIEW #2 – I ordered the country fried steak. The gravy and steak were average, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the pancakes were light and This location was very bright due to the many windows and lights. – Ulises Gonzalez
REVIEW #3 – Cay Dawn is the food server to request here! She was attentive to our needs, while serving other patrons. She was funny, shared stories of her own, and was friendly!!! Bring Ethan back at any and all costs! He was professional when the restaurant was extremely busy on Christmas morning with in-store customers as well as with an extremely busy doordash and Uber Eats orders. – Dawn Asher

REVIEW #1 – Love love love this place. The food is excellent, quick service, and accommodating to dietary preferences. I’m on the carnivore diet and the waitress substituted the salad that came with my meal for bacon at no charge! Amazing. And compared to other restaurants in the area, the price wasn’t too bad for the amount of food you get imo. I’ll be back! – Brittney Smith
REVIEW #2 – I came here hoping for a big and delicious breakfast, and that is exactly what I got. Big portions of very good food and the sourdough bread is incredible, I strongly recommend it, even if you aren’t a sourdough fan. If I come back to Anchorage, I’ll make sure to come back here for a hearty breakfast. – Matt Randall
REVIEW #3 – Had brunch with the family. Second meal here. Not bad food at all. The service was fast and friendly. We were very happy overall great tasting bacon! The pancakes were stellar. Really good flavor, light and fluffy. Chicken fried steak was good. I wish we had gotten a cinnamon roll. Was the size of a dinner plate!! – Marcy Sowers

REVIEW #1 – This is a nice little Joint inside the Marriott Residence Hotel. It is to the right just after you walk in the door and has an open seating area it will accommodate 20 to 30 people. There is a small bar where you can order your drinks and food items as well as some bottled waters and juices and such. The bar is only open in the morning for breakfast and in the evening for dinner and is closed during the middle of the day. They do have some construction going on on the right side of the bistro so you may be a little inconvenienced by this. The atmosphere is nice though and is appropriate for its location Inside the Hotel. – Mr. Fixit
REVIEW #2 – It is located in a Marriott Courtyard with a limited kitchen, not a full kitchen. For breakfast it offers a buffet for about $14 which includes eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, juice and coffee, which was not very good. However, I ordered the French toast with strawberries which was great and the avocado toast which was fresh and delicious, a nice surprise for a place that doesn’t have a full kitchen. I also ordered the sugar waffle with candied walnuts and fruit. This was delicious too, but very, very sweet. Avoid the buffet if you can. – Amy Boehman
REVIEW #3 – I love the place. Was good experience – William Joseph

REVIEW #1 – The service was absolutely wonderful. Our waitress was so very patient and I really appreciate her. We came with a big group of seniors and I was very appreciative of her patience. Also the food came quick. – Julie Trekell
REVIEW #2 – Gotta shout out to whoever was working the line this Wednesday morning. I got *delivery* and I had some trepidation about ordering eggs over easy via delivery. And yeah, they weren’t piping hot but that’s not their fault, but even the warm eggs were so perfect. This was the cheapest diner I could find and I did not anticipate angelic, drippy yolks and crispy, perfectly seasoned hash browns. I’m giving thanks for you this year, chef. 10/10 would eat your sausage any time. – Victoria Shea
REVIEW #3 – Excellent service. Shanna D. made the experience of the place enjoyable. She was very nice, respectful and friendly. Again, excellent service. The food was very good. Thanks to Shanna we had a good time! – Bm S
